Mission Statement

The Laurel community including teachers, staff, and parents are committed to providing students an educational program of academic excellence increasing student learning to enable students to become responsible, well-educated successful adults. Proficiency scores on the California Standards Test, the California English Language Development Test, and district and classroom assessments will measure the success of student learning. We believe that the best strategy to accomplish our school mission is to continue the transformation from a teaching organization to a learning organization where all stakeholders actively learn about and contribute to the growing body of knowledge about what works and what is best for our students.

Description

All of us at Laurel want to make this a very successful year for childs. The main goal of the school is to provide each student with a challenging and rigorous curriculum appropriate to his/her academic level. We believe every child can learn at a high level and achieve academic success. We look forward to having an outstanding year with our Laurel community. As we face numerous challenges that the year will bring, we know we will work together to do what is best for our children and continue to make Laurel the best school ever.
