Do you enjoy engaging with young adults with disabilities? Impact NW is looking for volunteer chaperones for Club Impact, a drop-in night at SE Multicultural Service Center on Monday evenings. Support the local community and have a blast with us!
Commitment & Schedule:
At least one weekly Monday drop-in night per month, for 6 months
Monday nights from 5:45 to 8:15 pm

Emotionally rewarding to work with young adults (18 -30) with disabilities
FUN social environment
Build lasting and meaningful relationships with volunteers and participants
Responsibilities:
Attend Monday club drop-in night gatherings in SE Portland
Assist participants with a wide range of physical and cognitive limitations socialize with peers
Define and maintain appropriate boundaries for participants
Communicate effectively to insure a safe experience for all
Age 18+
Familiarity with developmental disabilities desirable
Familiarity with Tri-Met system desirable
Good communication and social skills
Active movement in the community
Occasional physical assistance to some participants
Ability to pass a criminal background check
