If planting young trees and plants in this area's parks and watershed spaces sounds like a great Saturday morning, perhaps being a Crew Leader with Friends of Trees' Green Space program is right for you! The Green Space team guides volunteers at watershed restoration projects throughout the Portland-Vancouver area during our planting season--and we are currently recruiting for new Crew Leaders to help!
The training to become a Crew Leader is free (and includes lunch and a t-shirt!) but registration is required. If you are looking for a great leadership opportunity that allows you to combine your love of the outdoors with making a long-lasting impact on your community, register here: http://www.friendsoftrees.org/volunteering/2012-08-29-17-44-58/portland-vancouver-cl-training
Spots are limited and this training will fill-up so register soon!
Please contact Jenny or Pablo at (503) 595-0213 if you need more information. We look forward to answering any questions you may have!
