If planting young trees and plants in this area's parks and watershed spaces sounds like a great Saturday morning, perhaps being a Crew Leader with Friends of Trees' Green Space program is right for you! The Green Space team guides volunteers at watershed restoration projects throughout the Portland-Vancouver area during our planting season--and we are currently recruiting for new Crew Leaders to help!

The training to become a Crew Leader is free (and includes lunch and a t-shirt!) but registration is required. Friends of Trees is a volunteer-based nonprofit organization which organizes tree planting and care events in neighborhoods, natural areas and on school grounds in partnership with the community, government and businesses.

Since Friends of Trees was founded in 1989, our volunteers have planted more than 750,000 trees and native plants!
