Volunteer Drivers Needed to Get cancer Patients to Treatment- Lapeer

When transportation is a patient's biggest barrier to treatment, the American Cancer Society provides life saving rides. For those patients in Lapeer County, volunteer drivers donate their time to take patients to and from their cancer related appointments at the Karmanos Cancer Institute at McLaren Lapeer facility.
Volunteer Driver Requirements:
- Drivers must be ages 18-85 years old
- Safe, reliable driver
- One hour in-person training at cancer center
- Availability to drive at least one shift per month (4 hours)
- Drivers choose designated day to drive- very flexible!
- Comfortable driving standard mini-van
- A criminal background check and DMV check will be required
