At Learning Ally, volunteers create audio versions of textbooks and fiction/non-fiction for people with print disabilities such as blindness or vision impairment, or a learning difference like dyslexia.
We need volunteers to train as Readers to help create audio textbooks for use by people with print disabilities.

Mission Statement
Our vision is for all people to have equal opportunities to learn. Our mission is to promote personal achievement when access and reading are barriers to learning by advancing the use of accessible and effective educational solutions.
Description
Today, more than 30 million students struggle to read. By fourth grade, 65% of them are reading below proficiency. With early detection and proven accommodations, we can make strides in alleviating these detrimental consequences. Learning Ally is a leading nonprofit education solutions organization that transforms the lives of early and struggling learners through proven solutions from Pre-K through high school, to help students reach their potential.
We understand that all people learn differently and may need options to achieve their full potential. We are dedicated to helping individuals grow and succeed academically when access and reading are barriers to their learning. We will succeed by partnering with our communities and being a champion for those we serve so they may have the most accessible and effective solutions to achieve their personal best.
