Join the Pencils of Promise San Francisco Chapter for our inaugural 5K and run for an inspiring cause! The San Francisco Leadership Council aims to raise $25K to build a school in Ghana, Laos, or Guatemala and we would love for you to play a part in making that happen.

We are looking for volunteers who are interested in helping us! Activities would include:

  • Initial set up of the course
  • Preparing the runners by handing out their race bibs/shirts and answering any questions
  • Directing runners towards the start of the course
  • Working at aid stations and providing hydration support
  • Directing runners and keeping them safe along the route
  • Cheering for the runners and giving them moral support!!
  • Greeting the runners when they finish the run
  • Crowd control
  • Tear-down of the course
