About
Macomb Community Action’s Office of Senior Services is seeking volunteer drivers to deliver meals to homebound senior citizens on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 24, 2016.
Routes are available in all communities in Macomb County. Volunteers are asked to deliver approximately 10 to 12 meals. The Thanksgiving meals will be picked up at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township any time between 10:00 and 11:15 am and will take approximately 90 minutes to deliver
Meals on Wheels allows seniors to remain in their homes and live with dignity while receiving warm, nutritious meals each weekday. The holiday meal delivery ensures all Macomb County older adults enrolled in the program have a delicious meal and friendly check in.
Volunteers are also needed throughout the year to deliver regular weekday routes at lunchtime.
