Looking to get into the holiday spirit? Does getting a glimpse behind the scenes of a historic house museum interest you? Do you like to bake scrumptious treats and share them with others? If so, we need you!
The Ten Broeck Mansion, a federal-style home built in 1798 in the Arbor Hill neighborhood of Albany, NY, is owned, operated and curated by the Albany County Historical Association. We are looking for volunteers to help with our annual Holiday House, a series of events in December highlighting the Mansion for the holidays. There will be musical events, teas, lectures, a children’s story hour, and even a visit from Dutch "Sinterklaas". This special time brings hundreds of people to the mansion to see the lavish, traditionally decorated rooms.
Volunteers are needed for any or all of the following: helping with set-up and take-down of events, baking cookies and other sweet treats, selling tickets or goods, providing general information to visitors.
Please contact Sarah Johnson, education coordinator, at sarah@tenbroeckmansion.org or call 518-436-9826 if you would like to join the festivities!
