Join us! :)

Reach & Rise is a new therapeutic mentoring program at the Kennebec Valley YMCA in Augusta and Greater Waterville YMCA located at the Alfond Youth Center in Waterville. We are currently looking for adults who are at least 21 years old to volunteer 1-3 hours per week for one year, mentoring a child/teen between the ages of 6-17. Mentors must complete a FREE 15 hour paraprofessional training and pass background screenings. Form a new friendship, have fun and change two lives!

Here's a great video overview from the program developers in San Francisco who trained me (Ryan, the director):

And here's a video showing more from a youth's perspective in Reach & Rise:

Let's have a conversation to see if this program is a good fit for you. The worst that could happen is may not be; no big deal! If it is a good fit, you could generate real and significant impact for a local youth in need. Let's talk!
