Thank you so very much for your interest in being a volunteer for Child S.H.A.R.E.’s Family Jam & Expo. On October 1, 2016 we will welcome families from across LA and the San Fernando Valley to our Family Jam & Expo at Woodley Park in Van Nuys to celebrate families and raise foster care awareness. Sadly, there are 18,000 children in foster care in Los Angeles County alone and we need more foster families.
The Family Jam & Expo will feature a free concert along with vendors for families with children of all ages. The day will include live entertainment, food, games, prizes and much more. Here are the volunteer opportunities and the link to register:

Rolling Truck Video: Maintain the line and oversee children playing video games inside the trailer. Registration: Register volunteers. Registration stays open from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. PLEASE ARRIVE AT 9:00 AM!! Tickets: Hand out tickets to guests coming to the event for chance to win a prize from the stage. Water Station: Prepare and serve cups of water to all guests and volunteers. Security: The security team maintains a safe environment for all guests and volunteers. Must be able to commit for the entire event beginning at 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. The security team floats from booth to booth ensuring all lines are orderly and the event is running smoothly. The security team will also oversee guests and volunteers entering and exiting the site for safety.
Parking: Assists cars parking in 2 different lots. Hospitality: Welcomes guests coming to the event and informs them of the various activity booths and vendors participating. Clean up Crew: Begins at 3:30 pm when the event is almost over. Helps to clean up trash from the event. Face Painting: We are needing experienced face painters! Supplies will be provided. Crafts with children:Looking for volunteers who enjoy doing crafts with children! Supplies will be provided

The mission of FosterAll is to offer hope and wholeness and to work toward healing, empowerment and justice for children in the foster care system by equipping families, individuals and volunteers, recruited primarily from the faith community, to provide and support foster and adoptive homes for abused and neglected children.
Description
FosterAll finds homes for children placed in the foster care system. Since 1985, we have found homes for 3,500 children and we work with over 300 faith communities as well as community and government agencies to transform the lives of abused and abandoned children.
