ORGANIZATION: Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley

Learn construction skills and change lives! Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley would like to invite you to join us at our "Vermont House" shelter!

"Vermont House" shelter will provide permanent supportive housing to 16 disabled veterans who are experiencing homelessness in the College Park section of San Jose. Vermont House consists of two buildings near the Rose Garden area in San Jose and represents a wonderful collaborative partnership: the buildings were donated by San Jose; Habitat and volunteers will renovate the homes; case management services will be provided by the County of Santa Clara and Abode Services will manage the facility.

Volunteer opportunities 8:30am-4pm Thursdays-Friday and some Saturdays.

All volunteers must be age 16 and up, and anyone between 16 and 18 must bring a signed minor waver form to their volunteer day.
