Come join the dedicated volunteers who support our clothing closet! The Family Building Blocks clothing closet is a boutique-style room filled with children’s clothing, accessories, and supplies provided by in-kind donations to Family Building Blocks. Families receive vouchers to 'shop’ in the closet for their children once per month, which saves them money on clothing their children will quickly outgrow. Volunteers sort clothes, make outfits, inventory items, and keep the closet organized and tidy for families to shop.

Description
Family Building Blocks is the Relief Nursery of Marion and Polk counties. Committed to "Keeping Children Safe and Families Together" since 1997, our loving and dedicated team have provided a supportive parenting community to families with young children facing overwhelming life circumstances. With 10 locations spanning both counties, we are able to partner with over 1,200 children and 800 families each year. Annually, 99% of children in our programs remain living safely with their families, avoiding foster care and the devastation of abuse and neglect.
Our partnerships are free and voluntary. We are the only organization of our kind in our community. We meet families with young children where they are: physically in their homes and on their parenting journeys through Home Visiting, Therapeutic Classrooms, Parenting Education, play groups, and more.
