The Providence YMCA is inviting community members, both Y members and non members alike, to join a 5-week session of the Togetherhood program. Togetherhood is the Y's signature program for social responsibility that invites community members to lead and participate in volunteer service projects that benefit the community where they live. The program is designed to be a simple, fun and rewarding way for community members to identity ways that they can give back and support their neighbors through their own ideas, skills and energy,and the network of the Y. Through the duration of the session, volunteers will work with neighbors, community partners, and Y resources to design and implement a project that strengthens and improves the community.
One hour Togetherhood meetings will be held weekly in the Providence YMCA Program Room Mondays at 8:30am-9:30am. The first meeting will be held October 24th. After the conclusion of the service project, a group celebration will also be held.
