Mint Artists Guild will open a tiny teen artists gallery in Detroit later this fall. We already have a small working group developing the plans, and we meet once a month or so. (Note: the times posted are not actual times we work - that varies and often is virtual.) We are seeking more volunteers to help. Specifically we need people who:
-will connect us to art patrons and buyers, to small businesses and others.
-will help develop the systems and tools we need to manage this gallery.
-will work with our marketing / communications team to promote the gallery.
-will volunteer to work in the gallery during opening days or if preferred, once a week in November and December.
-will coach teens on the best ways to show and sell their work in a gallery setting.
-will help us create a cool, fun, professional space that teaches teens about galleries and shows the world how amazing teen art is.

Mission Statement
Mint Artists Guild helps to transform aspiring Detroit youth artists through education, exceptional engagement and experience, resulting in earning opportunities, skill-building, exposure, and mentoring. Mint launches creative careers and lasting connections. Mint also infuses the community with art and creative experiences, enhancing a collaborative, healthy and generous culture.
Description
Mint works with artists ages 13 to 23 on entrepreneurial, career and life skills, and gives them opportunities to sell their creative work. A summer jobs program, business workshops and online educational and informational resources are offered to young visual artists. In 2020, we launched the Metro Detroit Youth Arts Competition, a creative activity kit giveaway (of 5,500 kits) and in 2021, we launched leadership development training. This year, we are working on an alumni engagement program, adding creative jobs to our website and so much more. We need your help and support to continue our growth!
