ORGANIZATION: The Salvation Army Traverse City

The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army Traverse City provides a variety of youth programs. Programs include character building, music instruction, arts & crafts, and more. Youth programs happen Tuesdays at The Salvation Army Community Center. We are in need of volunteer drivers to pick up children from area schools between 2:30-4pm. Pick ups are done in Salvation Army vehicles - drivers are accompanied by another adult volunteer. Use your enthusiasm, time and talents for just driving our join our Character Building programs as a volunteer following pick ups. Chauffeurs license and clean driving record are required.

Our youth programs focus on positive youth activities and character building. The goal of the programs are to build positive social and communication habits, decision making and life skills, and build character and leadership skills with Christian values.
