The Woodland Tree Foundation offers free shade trees to residents of Woodland to shade their homes, conserve energy, reduce greenhouse gases and beautiful neighborhoods.
Volunteers are needed to work in teams of 3-5 to each plant four to five trees at different locations throughout Woodland. Volunteers will prepare planting holes, and plant, stake and mulch the trees.
Volunteers will meet at Crawford Park, 1733 College Street, Woodland for refreshments, organization of teams and tree planting training before traveling as teams to the planting locations. Wear clothing and work footwear suitable for digging, and getting wet and muddy.
