Grace Hospice is seeking compassionate individuals (18 and over) looking to share their time and special talents in support of our patients and their families. Volunteers are a vital part of our hospice team who assisst with any number of patient and family needs ranging from social visits to helping with special last wishes and celebrations. Your time and sharing of your special talents can make a meaningful difference for those who need you most.

We need volunteers to help with:

  • In Home Hair and Nail services

  • Companionship

  • Caregiver support

  • Veteran to Veteran outreach

  • and more!

Description

Grace Hospice cares for patients whose medical conditions are not responding to treatment or for those patients who choose to not seek aggressive medical care at the end stage of life. Hospice focuses on comfort care rather than curative care. The goal of hospice is for patients to remain as comfortable and pain-free as possible in their own home or the home of a loved one through the end of life. Care can also be provided in a long-term care facility or an assisted living facility.
