Mary Centre is looking for a volunteer to assist an adult male with a developmental disability with his cabinet making course work. The volunteer would be responsible for meeting with the individual 1-2 times per week to tutor and assist the individual in reading blue prints and taking measurements. The volunteer will also work with the individual to create mini wood work projects to increase the individual's skills and confience in cabinet making.
The volunteer will have strong math skills, the ability to read and understand blue prints, and a passion for wood working. Good communication skills, patience, reliability, and flexibility are assets. Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is beneficial, but not required.

Mary Centre highly recommends First Aid/CPR, and Understanding and Managing Aggressive Behaviour (UMAB) training. * A current vulnerable sector search is required*
Mary Centre Location is fully accessible, however volunteer would be meeting the individual in the community, and these locations may not be accessible.
