ORGANIZATION: Beyond Emancipation

  • 4 people are interested

Beyond Emancipation (B:E) is building our board. The organization has grown tremendously over the past five years and looks forward to evolving our organizational and programmatic impact. This past year has focused on building organizational capacity, and we’d like to extend that now to building our board. Together board and staff have reflected on our current priorities and determined that we need expertise in these areas: Coaching, Communications/Marketing, Fundraising, Real Estate and Social Enterprise.

Founded in 1995, B:E supports youth with experience in foster care or probation placements in their transformation to live healthy, connected, productive lives. Our approach to serving youth is Creative, Connected, Resourceful and Whole (CCRW), a multi-faceted model that we developed that incorporates coaching, permanency, youth development and crisis management. We coach youth ages 14-24 to build capacity, expand possibilities and achieve success focusing on five core areas: housing, education, employment, permanency and wellness. Our budget for 2016-17 is approximately 4.1 million. Contracts with the Social Services Agency (SSA), corporate and foundation grants, and individual donors support our work.
