Opening the Outdoors Day Camp
Girl Scouts and Casa Familiar are partnering to hold a 5-day camp for youth aged 5-12 years old. The camp will include arts and crafts, outdoor games, a field trip to the beach, and lots of fun activities designed to get kids interested in the outdoors. We are looking for volunteers to help set-up and run activities, serve as camp counselors, and help chaperone the field trip. We would prefer volunteers that are available for the full week, but will also take volunteers for part of the week as well. This is an active volunteer role with lots of playing, walking, and moving.
Camp Dates : Sept. 26-Sept. 30, 2016
Times : 8:00am-3:30pm
Participants : 100 local (San Ysidro, South San Diego, east Imperial Beach) Girls and Boys, aged 5-12 yrs, interested in fun activities and learning about the Outdoors.
Location : San Ysidro Civic Center, 212 W Park Ave, San Diego, CA 92173, and adjacent parks.
