National Volunteer Week 2021 Is Here!
Celebrate with us as we highlight #ArtAsActivism!
County of Los Angeles Public Library - La Puente Library
Make a difference in the life of a veteran! We will train you to offer information and referrals to veterans and their families to connect them to the state and federal benefits and services they have earned through military service. Our Veterans Resource Center is open Tuesdays 1:00pm-3:00pm and Saturdays 11:00am-1:00pm. Volunteers typically take one 2-hour shift a week. This is flexible, so contact us for more details.
You will help reduce veteran homeless and unemployment numbers, increase veteran enrollment in college, and help our service men and women successfully reintegrate into civilian life.

The Public Library is dedicated to free and equal access to information, knowledge, independent lifelong learning, cultural enrichment, and the joys of reading for our diverse community.
Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
We'll work with your schedule.
