The National Kidney Foundation of Hawaii is looking for volunteers to help out with our free upcoming kidney health screenings. Our Kidney Early Detection Screening (KEDS) are completely free and open to the public for anyone 18 years or older. At these events, participants go through several testing stations including: blood pressure, measurements, blood draw/glucose checks and urinalysis. They then take their results and have a brief consultation with a medical professional who interprets their results and gives them a snapshot of their current kidney function.
We need volunteers to help out with many different tasks to include:
Registration ? Set up and giving directions ? Body measurements and blood pressure ? Handing out refreshments and snacks ? Assist any elderly participants ? Also we are looking for anyone with medical background to help with our blood and urine testing stations
Exit Interview NEED Medical Professionals (MD, APRN, RN, RD, pharmacists, etc.) to help interpret participant results.
