We are looking for an instructor to lead a nine-month leadership development and skills training program for nonprofit high-level managers and executive directors. The purpose is to improve their abilities to lead nonprofit organizations in the Greater Cincinnati region. A maximum of 24 students are admitted into the program. Participants are generally nonprofit executives or sub executives.
The program itself consists of 9 all day sessions which take place monthly on a designated Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Each monthly session consists of two components: (1) an aspect of nonprofit management, and (2) emotional/social intelligence. Specific topics include:
- Creating Highly Effective Teams/HR Issues
- Strategic Thinking
- Board Development
- Organizational Development
- Financial Resource Development
- Financial Management
- Process Improvement and Project Management
- Community Asset Mapping
- Managing and interacting with External Stakeholders
- Branding and Marketing
We are seeking a volunteer with significant leadership, management, and nonprofit experience to teach and lead the discussions on each of the management topics. It is essential that the individual is an effective presenter in front of a class.
For the upcoming year, we have someone in place to lead most of the sessions. We are looking for someone who could apprentice for the year and then take over the instruction in one year. While we already have a proven curriculum in place, we continually look on how it can be improved.
What makes this program especially unique is that each participant is assigned a personal coach whose background includes a minimum of 10 years' proven management/leadership experience
