The Food Bank of South Jersey provides healthy food to those who are hungry and malnourished as well as nutrition education. The Healthy Living Initiative of the Food Bank of South Jersey provides nutrition education to residents of Camden, Burlington, Gloucester and Salem counties.

Volunteer Cooking Instructors are needed by the Healthy Living Initiative program to teach healthy cooking classes. Classes consist of 30 minutes of discussion about select nutrition topics and 60 minutes of basic cooking instruction. Free training and lesson plans provided. Classes are taught in a variety of settings including schools, community centers, places of worship and outdoor health events. Classes are offered to a number of groups including children, teens, seniors and families. Opportunities are throughout Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Salem counties.

Love the classroom, but don't want to teach? Volunteer class assistants are also needed to help instructors run the class.

Once trained, instructors and class assistants can sign up for as many or as few classes they desire to teach.
