Mentoring at ACE
Mentor being recognition from the City of Los Angeles for her commitment to impacting a young person's life through mentoring.

Behind every successful adult is at least one mentor who helped them overcome a challenge or opened their world to new possibilities. If you reflect on your own life, you will surely think of many caring adults outside your immediate family who helped support you at various points along the way. Mentors inspire us, teach us, challenge us to be better people and achieve our goals.

YouthBuild Mentoring Project

YouthBuild mentoring connects adults from the community with YouthBuild students who are working to earn their diplomas while also training for a career and developing leadership and life skills.

Mentors provide both general encouragement and specific support in helping our students achieve their dreams and plan for the future.

Our mentors:

* Commit to a 12-month match with a student

*Meet with their mentees on Fridays from 12:30-1:30 on our campus in Canoga Park

* Receive a wealth of support and training from our staff

* Participate in service projects and other group activities

* Have a lot of fun
