Senior Leaders spend program time each week practicing their sports skills during academic tutoring. Focus and Discipline help youth succeed on and off the field.


Help support Philadelphia's young leaders in achieving their goals! The academic tutor is a volunteer position at least 2 hours every week from November - June. The academic tutors work with boys and girls from Philadelphia public high schools that participate in our Senior Leaders program (Soccer, Leadership and Acadmemic Program). Tutoring sessions are an opportunity to make a big impact on a high school student. Work one-on-one or in small groups with students based on their identified needs (eg. Math, English, Biology, college essays, scholarship applications, etc).

Requirements & Commitment

  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 21
  • Orientation or Training
  • 2 hours/week
  • Consistency, prior youth development and/or tutoring experience, commitment to the welfare of youth.
