HI USA is looking for 1-2 volunteers to assist with collecting contacts of colleges and universities within a 2 hour range of our hostels in order to promote our Great Hostel Give Back Program.
What is GHGB?
During the months January and February, qualifying groups of 8 or more people receive one free night's stay (up to five nights) at an HI USA hostel for each day its members spend volunteering at least two hours in the community surrounding the hostel.
We would like to grow this program and encourage more college groups to participate.
In order to make this happen we need asstiance in college contacts at various colleges and universities who can help promote the program among students.
This is a virtual position and can be completed on your own schedule. We will set some parameters of how many contacts we need and by when during training.
Benefits for Volunteering with HI USA include:
-Earn complimentary HI USA Membership and dorm overnights
-Meet other travel enthusiasts
-Learn about travel opportunities and hostelling
-Leadership development
-Gain experience in grassroots organizing and volunteer recruitment
-Resume-building experience
