About

Joni and Friends is a faith-based nonprofit serving individuals affected by disability. We are currently looking for someone interested in helping us develop a program in conjunction with with various hospital facilities to provide ongoing support to their patients. Are you are interested in making a difference in the lives of patients in rehabilitation centers and group homes? Does coordinating disability outreach events and impacting lives through support and encouragement sound like fun? If so, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Skills required for this volunteer position include the ability to be a s elf-starter, strong interpersonal skills, an outgoing personality, the ability to communicate direction and lead with confidence, the desire to minister to those with disabilities, and an understanding of Christian ministry.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate outreach teams through recruitment, orientation, supervision, and follow-up.
  • Contact and establish relationships with group home operators
  • Learn and conduct multiple volunteer training sessions
  • Learn vision and mission of Joni and Friends
