The Arts in Health program at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University is a volunteering opportunity that strives to enhance our patients’ experience through creative arts with a focus on self-expression. Research shows that participating in creative activities improves a patient’s mental, emotional, and physiological response to traditional cancer treatments. This program integrates visual arts, music, literature, and performing arts into our healing process in order to improve the lives of our patients, families, visitors, and employees. Our hope is to connect with local artists from the surrounding Atlanta area to join us in our effort to provide the best possible care for the Winship community.

Emory Winship Cancer Institute is an out-patient cancer treatment facility. Cutting edge research and clinical trials are conducted at our facility. The Emory Winship Cancer Institute offers an atmosphere of caring and hope for all patients undergoing treatment for cancer.
