Hollywood House apartments are an affordable, independent senior living building. Our 200 residents represent diverse cultures and speak many languages. On October 27, we are hosting a healthcare enrollment event. From 10am to 4pm, residents will have the option to participate in one-on-one healthcare counseling sessions. These are an important opportunity for seniors to ask questions and get advice on the complicated insurance system.

We are currently seeking volunteers who are fluent or highly proficient in both English andGreek, Russian, Bosnian, or Spanish, to act as interpreters for these one-on-one counseling sessions with residents who speak limited English. Volunteers would be required to only commit to two hours, and we will schedule resident appointments around your availability.

By volunteering your language services, you will not only be helping seniors get access to the important care they need, but you may also be providing an opportunity for connection and communication in their native language that these seniors don't often get!

Interested and committed volunteers will have the opportunity to get further involved with resident programming.
