Have you discovered running as a healthy outlet for stress, anxiety or aggression? Do you try (with limited success, maybe...) to pass along the emotional and spiritual benefits of running to your friends and family? Are you interested in sharing your love of running with those in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction? If you answered "yes," you'd make a great Recoverun training leader!

Recoverun is a 10-week program designed for people in recovery to teach running as a tool for physical and emotional well-being. Integrating mindfulness into each workout, this simple, progressive walk/run program is designed for non-runners, who at the end of ten weeks have the endurance and confidence to run three miles (the standard 5k distance).

Volunteers must be able to run/walk WITH participants. The commitment is two hours a week for ten weeks (two one hour sessions each week). Recoverun will help you with every stage of the planning process!
