The 3rd Annual Fired Up for Special Olympics Fundraiser will take place on Saturday, October 21st from 5pm-10pm at the historic SB Carriage Museum in downtown Santa Barbara. This even9ing will include a sit-down dinner, open bars, dessert, DJ and dance floor, and silent auction. Special Olympics is in need of volunteers to assist with setting up (10:30am-5pm), general event support (5pm-11pm). The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with an intellectual disability, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
Description
The Santa Barbara Special Olympics is a non-profit organization that allows people with developmental disabilites within the Santa Barbara community to participate in year-round athletic competition. We offer several sports that our athletes can participate in free of charge.
