Help ignite curiosity and welcome visitors into the amazing world of exploration at Pacific Science Center as a Science Interpretation Program (SIP) Volunteer. Travel to the tropics as you welcome and engage guests at our Tropical Butterfly House and explore the ecosystem of Puget Sound with visitors at the Salt Water Tide Pool. Share your passion for science and learning as you interact with guests of all ages. Explore math and patterns at Puzzle Place, defy gravity at the High Rail Bike, and discover cause and effect, colors, and more with our youngest guests at Just for Tots. Essential duties include direct interaction with the public, creating positive experiences for guests during their visit, and providing skilled and accurate interpretation of Pacific Science Center exhibits. Volunteer shifts are available seven days per week. Minimum time commitment is at least one half-day shift per week for 6 months, but you are welcome to join us more frequently!
