Volunteers make a Difference!!

Gentiva Hospice volunteers are an incredible asset to our organization - and ultimately to our patients, families and caregivers. We are in need of volunteers for office tasks, special events, patient support - including emotional support, companionship, spiritual support and assistance with comfort measures. Assistance with shopping, running errands and light household chores. Providing socialization and support such as reading to patients, playing games, assisting with letter writing and journaling are also valuable services that volunteers assist with. At Gentiva Hospice we truly believe that every moment matters in the lives of our patients. Our volunteers help ensure that every moment really does matter.

Mission Statement

To provide the best in comprehensive hospice care to terminally ill patients and their families in our service area. PHILOSOPHY: Hospice affirms life and focuses on the quality of life. Hospice exists to provide support and care for persons in the last phases of incurable disease so that they might live as fully and comfortably as possible. Hospice recognizes dying as a normal process whether or not resulting from disease. Hospice neither hastens nor postpones death.
