Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago has over 20 club locations across the city of Chicago in neighborhoods like Uptown, Washington Park, Auburn Gresham, Logan Square, East Garfield Park, Austin, Bridgeport, Morgan Park and many more. The address listed is our James R. Jordan Club but there are other locations available for volutneers to serve. Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator for more information at

Clubs need dedicated volunteers on weekdays between the hours of 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to help run programs and assist with general Club duties with prime hours of need being from 2:30-5:30. The needs vary by Club and fluctuate throughout the year. Volunteers usually support in the areas of Academic Success (homework help, science and math clubs, career counseling, college applications) Healthy Lifestyles (sports programs, swimming, fitness activities, cooking classes, drug and gang prevention programs) and Character and Citizenship Development (Passport to Manhood, SMART Girls, Keystone, Torch Programs). Volunteers are processed and scheduled for orientation on a rolling basis. We ask that you commit to volunteering a minimum of 2-3 hours each week for at least 6 months. Volunteers must complete a criminal background check and a live-scan fingerprint.
