The SCHTF Backpack for Kids program feeds 350 children in 3 area elementary schools every weekend during the school year. We provide 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and snacks for children who may not have reliable meals on the weekends. We are looking for 6-8 volunteers to stuff and pack these bags every Wednesday from 12-1 in the SCHTF Pantry in the Community Campus at Goodwill. Visit www.starkhunger.org/backpackvolunteer for more information and to sign up!

Mission Statement
The board members of the Stark County Hunger Task Force believe that in any community a number of individuals will experience a crisis during their lifetime in which they are unable to provide adequate food for themselves and their families. It is our goal to depend on the generosity of our neighbors for assistance to satisfy that basic need.
Description
Since 1981, the Stark County Hunger Task Force has taken a positive role in battling the hunger needs of the community of Stark County. There are currently two dozen pantries of which they support -- who feed a total of 15,000 people every month.
