Volunteers in the school district help to extend the resources of the schools by supporting students and staff, increases student to adult ratio and increases students self-esteem. The Community Volunteer Program (CVP) is dedicated to building a community partnership to foster volunteer opportunities within MAPS to promote, support and strengthen the school district’s mission of assuring learning excellence and readiness for a changing world.

Description

The Community Volunteer Program is a centralized volunteer office housed in the Communtiy Education and recreation department for the benefit of Mankato public school district. The CVP recruits, screens, trains, places and supports volunteers in positions within Mankato Area Public Schools.
