Courageous Women Association’s 9 thannual day of shopping and pampering celebrates courage & resiliency for victims and survivors, and provides vital life necessities and resources that aid in their health and wellness, and self-sufficiency. St. Mary’s Center to host Saturday, October 21, 2017 from noon - 5pm, 925 Brockhurst St., Oakland, CA.
We are looking for 200 volunteers from businesses, students, families, church and social groups, and individuals, to assist with a wide variety of volunteer opportunities including:
* 2 Volunteer Coordinators to lead 200 volunteers
* 12 Volunteer Leaders to lead groups of 16-18 people, and report to coordinators
* donation pickups
* hostessing
* registration
* Crowd control
* outreach booths
* children's crafts
* food service & food pickup
* setup/cleanup
* provide pampering services of makeovers, manicures, massage, and other services that bring relaxation and healing
* provide outreach and resources
In addition, we need help in sorting and organizing donations in preparation for the big event on 10/21, each Saturday beginning 09/09 from 9am - 3pm at CSI Storage, 855 Parr Blvd., Richmond, CA
We also need volunteers to help stage and decorate on Friday, 10/20 from 2pm - 10pm. If you are creative and would like to help us set up for the big event on Sat. 10/21, we could use all the help we can get!

We are a nonprofit 501c3 Corporation providing support services, economic resources, transitional housing, and empowerment to women & children impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, homelessness, prostitution & human trafficking, and other crippling life experiences. Our organization is built upon uplifting and empowering women from all walks of life, reminding them of their worth and importance in the world. We provide services to over 1000 women and children annually.
