Who doesn't feel loved by receiving a hand-made gift? Create knitted, crocheted or tied fleece items for Hospice patients to keep them warm and bring them comfort; not to mention brighten up thier day. Lap blankets and comfort/prayer shawls are most appreciated by our patients as well as bereaved family members. Shawls and blankets are delived to hospice patients by volunteers and staff. Patients treasure handmade items and feel special that someone cared enough to think of them. This is an excellent project to work on alone or with other ladies from a social or church group. Please consider providing comfort and warmt to a patients body and soul with this special gift.

Mission Statement

Provide Patients and Their Families with Advanced Illness Care of the Highest Quality.

Description

Capital Caring Health would truthfully not exist without our volunteers. In 1977, this organization was founded by a group of dedicated volunteers, deeply committed to making a profound impact in our community. Capital Caring Health provides hospice, palliative and advanced illness care of the highest quality to patients of all ages, regardless of their ability to pay. We serve pediatrics to geriatrics. We have two in patient centers and serve most patients in the comfort of their home. Volunteers are key to the service we provide. We train our volunteers and support them along the way.
