About The Pantry

Location:

Mission Statement

Providing holistic aid to neighbors in need, supplying food and items they need now, as well as tools of empowerment for the future, through education and one-on-one case management. Feeding mind, body & soul.

Description

The Pantry is a multi-faceted non-profit serving those in greatest need. Our programs are diverse, ranging from emergency food assistance to educational classes. We also have a N.O.W. pantry that is designed specifically for those dignosed with a chronic illness.

Recently we were warded a grant of over $50,000 by United Way to open a Fresh Market where our neighbors in need can purchase produce at a reduced cost! We are collaborating with four other pantries and Access of West Michigan to help provide access to fresh, local, affordable produce to Kent County communities.

In addition, The Pantry has written and dedicated itself to a healthy food policy. Though we will accept the majority of donations, we have committed to purchasing healthy options, including fresh produce. Contact us at office@thepantry.gr if you want to learn more about our healthy focus!
