Miracle Flights is a national nonprofit whose mission is to provide free commercial air transportation to sick children who are battling rare medical disorders and would otherwise lack access to specialized medical care.
Miracle Flights has been presented with a great opportunity to be the charity of choice for the Foam Glow 5K in Portland, OR on October 1, 2016!
Foam Glow 5K is a fun-filled experience exposing runners to Glowing Foam and a ton of Blacklights all over the course. Glowing runners come from all ages, shapes, sizes, and speeds. Whether you are a long term runner or a walk around the park stroller, the 3 miles of the Foam Glow 5K course will have you shining bright and waiting for the next run.
Our commitment to the charity of choice is to provide volunteers, for each volunteer a donation will be made to Miracle Flights to further our mission of providing flights to sick children and their families to reach distant medical treatment. Volunteers must be age 16+.
The job of the volunteers will be:
- Race Day Registration
- Glow Store
- Water Stations
- Course Marshals
- Start Line Supervisors
- Foam Zones

Description
Miracle Flights for Kids is a national, 501 (c)(3), medical flight organization that provides FREE commercial airline flights for a sick child and their families to see a specialist or get a second opinion not available in their community.
We will fly a child as far and as many times as needed to get well. Since 1985, we’ve coordinated more than 150,000 free flights to those in need of life-changing medical care. In our 35 year history, we’ve helped families in every corner of the country.
