We are looking for volunteers to teach a dedicated group of mothers in our Bright Beginnings program. Consider teaching English this year at Grace Place for Children and Families! Volunteers are needed to teach English to mothers in our Bright Beginnings family literacy program which educates both parents and children together. The program runs August-May in the mornings, 10:20am-12:20pm. We are needing teachers once a week on Tuesday mornings. You do not need to speak Spanish to volunteer. Training is provided throughout the year, in addition to lots of resources and support.

Mission Statement
Grace Place puts faith into action - providing pathways out of poverty by educating children and families.
Description
Grace Place is a faith-based nonprofit educational organization that serves the families of Golden Gate City. We believe that education transforms lives, promotes dignity and enhances self-esteem. We understand that an investment in the education of all members of the family - child, adolescent and adult - creates a powerful educational culture in the home and long-term achievement for both children and families. We believe education is the key to breaking the inter-generational cycle of poverty.
