Green Gate Farms’ new Farm Stand is open to the public Tuesdays, 3-6 and Fridays 10-2. We sell certified organic vegetables, flowers, eggs and value added products like lard. Sometimes we sell products raised by other farmers, including: baked goods, tropical plants, and crafts.

In partnership with Sustainable Food Center, we participate in the Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) and SNAP Double Dollar Incentive Program (DDIP). These programs are available to low-income families for the purchase of local vegetables and require detailed administrative processes. Our Farm stand staff, including Interns and Workshare members, must be able to work with integrity and enjoy handling details. Training will be provided.

Our Farm Stand Manager reports to the Urban Farm Manager, who coordinates what produce to sell. Farm Stand Assitant will be responsible for set-up, including proper signage and vegetable sorting/processing for display, tear down, and profit tracking in addition to managing the stand durings its hours of operation.

Farm Staff are expected to show up on time for their shift each week and report any scheduling issues directly with the Farm Stand Manager and Urban Farm Manager.

We are hiring still for Tuesday 3-6 and Friday 10-2!
