Pride Portland! is managed by several planning teams that divide up tasks and activities throughout the year in preparation for Pride events in June. Each planning team is overseen by a Chair Person (a member of the Steering Committee) and a Co-Chair. Planning Team Co-Chairs oversee the work of and collaborate with the members of a specific planning team. There are five planning teams (Events, Festival, Fundraising, Marketing and Parade) that operate throughout the year (approx. September - July).

Mission Statement
Pride Portland! is a celebration of Portland, Maine’s LGBTQIA -- lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, ally/asexual community. Our goal is to bring people together to celebrate the achievements of the LGBTQA movement, remember our history and raise awareness of the work that still needs to be done. Fostering and honoring inclusivity, diversity and unity, Pride Portland! builds stronger connections amongst individuals, organizations and businesses.
