Mission Statement

ICO is a faith based organization that nurtures families by assessing and addressing individual's educational, social, and health needs. ICO provides stepping stones to those struggling to improve their quality of life.

Description

Incorporated in 1986, ICO has 30 years of rich history in meeting the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of its community. We have been aggressively addressing the deficiencies that keep youth and families from reaching their full potential. ICO’s staple program in its youth and family division has been the "Trinise Jones Summer Day Camp". Over the years we have provided an exciting experience for low income families. Since Inner County Outreach’s inception over 5,000 students have benefited from their involvement with the Trinise Jones Summer Day Camp, mentoring, After School Tutorial and Direct School Involvement programming.

As one of the oldest Harford County Non-Profit organizations, ICO seeks to nurture and develop families and youth. ICO assists them in moving from "instability to stability" and "risk to resiliency." Our organization provides assistance to our clients in the following areas:

Basic Needs- food and shelter deficiencies

Youth Services- filling the gaps in education, mentoring, child care, and residential services

Health and Wellness-issues surrounding health education and awareness

Focusing on these categories of assistance, ICO is able to provide positive outcomes for "at-risk" families and children who find themselves caught in the cycle of poverty.
