Overview:

The Media Manager functions as PR support for Pride Portland! Manage relationships and negotiate terms with newspapers, magazines, radio and television partners. Support designated Public Information Officers (PIOs) with access to the media (and direct media to designated PIOs)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish contact with and manage relationships with local media
  • Negotiate terms with newspapers, magazines, radio and television partners
  • Direct media to designated PR contacts for official comments (Steering Committee Co-Chairs)
  • Collaborate with other members of the marketing team to reach deadlines
  • Participate in regular meetings and events
