About

The Maryland Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program certifies volunteers to advocate for residents in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Upper Shore Aging, Inc. is seeking volunteers for Talbot, Caroline, and Kent counties. Volunteers must have their own transportation and demonstrate excellent listening and communication skills. They must be friendly and respectful of residents and staff, and observe standards of ethics and confidentiality. Volunteers undergo an extensive training program and commit to several hours each month to perform facility visitations.
