AHEDD is looking for Business Owners, Managers and Non-Profits for Community Based Work Assessment Sites in Philadelphia, Bucks, Delaware and Montgomery Counties. AHEDD is a private, non-profit organization that provides employment services for people with disabilities. Often a Community Based Work Assessment is the first step in this to help us evaluate an individuals skills and the individual can evaluate whether this is the type of work they want to pursue. These settings are coordinated by AHEDD and while hosted within business, do not constitute paid employment. Typically, an assessment lasts for three to four hours, the individual is accompanied by and AHEDD employee and are set up at a convenient time for the employer. This is a great opportunity for a business to provide community service in helping an individual explore their career goals.
