Mission Statement

The Mission of Hospice Compassus is to honor life and offer hope to individuals facing a life-limiting illness by supporting them with compassion, integrity and excellence. At Compassus, we are dedicated to compassionate care, clinical excellence and providing comfort and support to patients and their families facing the end of life. Do you want to make a difference in the lives of others? Join our team today as a Hospice Volunteer to positively impact the experiences of our patients and families.

Description

At Compassus, we share a culture established around three core values: Compassion, Integrity and Excellence.

Hospice offers peace and comfort to patients and their families by reducing the stress, pain and other symptoms of a serious illness. Hospice is not just for the final days of life. it's about helping patients and their families live as well as they can when life expectancy is limited.

Palliative care helps people with a serious illness feel better - physically, emotionally and spiritually. It focuses on improving quality of life at any stage of illness. Patients can continue curative treatments, and some patients with chronic diseases may move in and out of palliative care as the need arises.

Patients receive treatment in facilities and in their community homes.
