Rising Sun operates a workforce development program for low-income adults, preparing them to succeed in the building trades and the solar industry through our certified pre-apprenticeship program.
During our nine-week long training, in addition to hands-on skills developed in the workshop and the field, we also provide participants with professional skills including resume and cover letter writing and interview coaching.
We are looking for volunteers to work one-on-one with participants on their resumes and cover letters, help them develop their 30-second pitches, and practice interviewing with them.
If you are interested in working with our participants on any of the above, please get in touch as soon as possible. Our cohort is currently in session and will graduate on November 2nd.
The time commitment can be as little as an hour just one time or it can be multiple hours a week.
